Location: Glasgow, City of Glasgow Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

Senior Planner - Rail – Glasgow

We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary contractor with presence across the UK and proven success in a variety of sectors including Rail, Utilities, Energy, Roads, Energy etc. Due to continued growth in their Industrial arm, they are actively seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their team in Glasgow to aid the planning process.

Responsibilities

Project Programme Development:
Create and maintain detailed project schedules (Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject) for rail infrastructure works including track, civils, signalling, and electrification packages.
Integration with Operational & Possession Planning:
Align construction programmes with Network Rail access and possession regimes. Coordinate with project delivery teams to mitigate disruption and optimise delivery windows.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting:
Engage with internal teams, clients (e.g. Network Rail), subcontractors, and third parties to provide clear and accurate programme updates, progress reports, and KPIs.
Risk & Change Management:
Proactively identify programme risks and opportunities. Support change management processes, including impact assessments, mitigation strategies, and EOT submissions.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all planning activities comply with contract requirements (e.g. NR/L2 standards, NEC3/NEC4), industry best practices, and company planning protocols.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualification
Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on similar large scale construction projects
Must have UK Passport or RTW in the UK

Benefits

£60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits
